I’m Etienne (Dara in Khmer), the developer of Better Post & Filter Widgets for Elementor. I’ve been building WordPress sites and plugins for more than ten years, and I take on custom work for the people who use my plugins.

How I work

Every project starts with a clear scope in writing, so we both know what’s being delivered before any code is written.

I write to WordPress coding and security standards, with proper sanitisation, escaping and prepared queries, and all code is checked with PHPCS. I test on a clean install and verify compatibility with the relevant commercial plugins before anything ships.

If a request would cause problems later, such as a change that breaks with the next Elementor update, I’ll say so and suggest a better route rather than just doing it.

You get the code, and it stays yours.

Rates

  • Hourly: from $35/hour for small jobs, fixes and ongoing work
  • Fixed price: quoted after we agree on the scope, for well-defined projects
  • Minimum: $150

    Do you work with clients in other time zones?
    Yes. I’m based in Cambodia (GMT+7) and work regularly with clients in Europe and North America.

    Do you speak French?
    Yes, French is my first language. I work in French or English.

    Can you fix a problem caused by another plugin or theme?
    Usually. I’ll tell you what’s causing it and what it takes to fix. If it isn’t worth fixing, I’ll say that too.

    Will my custom work be added to the free plugin?
    Only if you want it to be, and only if it’s useful to everyone. Anything specific to your site stays yours.

    What if the plugin already does what I need?
    I’ll tell you, and point you to the setting. No charge.
