Better Post & Filter Widgets for Elementor

The upcoming 2.0.0 release takes filtering beyond posts. The Filter, Search and Sorting widgets can now drive a Post widget set to User Query or Taxonomy Query, so member directories, team pages, author lists and category grids get the same AJAX filtering, faceting and pagination as your posts. Set “Query Type to Filter” to Users or Terms, and filter by user meta, term meta or relational fields. The new User Role data source lists your roles with counts, and the Parent Term source lets visitors narrow a list to a parent’s child terms. New Loop Item dynamic tags (Title, URL, Image, Description, Custom Field, ID and Date) follow whatever the loop is showing, a post, a user or a term, so one skin template works across all three loops, in the Post widget and in Elementor Pro Loop Grids. The Post widget’s loading skeleton now replaces each row with a placeholder of its own kind, so the layout no longer shifts while results load. Multilingual sites also get safer filter caching, which is now kept per language.
